Fire Water Earth Air bookFire Water Earth Air
By Benjamin Raven Pressley
I know the power of FIRE, WATER, EARTH and AIR. I was born into and was baptized in it from the day I was born. I know all too well the power of the Creator and the creation. To think that creation, nature, the great outdoors is just something to enjoy as leisure and recreation is to miss out on a whole dimension of what it truly is. I am saddened that the world we live in bottles up our very life and essence in artificial environments and structures created by human beings for in bottling ourselves up we miss out on touching the divine. True peace is where you may least expect. it to be. It exists and speaks in solitude, in our heart of hearts. One need only find a place away from the noise and seek its voice. And though it may speak anywhere I hear it more clearly when I escape the noise of civilization, the noise in my own head.. I hear its voice most clearly when I am on a wooded trail. I hear its voice most clearly in the crackling of a fire. I hear it most clearly in the babble of a brook. I hear it most clearly when I breathe in the fresh air of the wild. And when its voice speaks it teaches me the ways of the Creator, the way of peace and tranquility, the ways of hope and truth. It is my hope that as you journey with me in this book that you too will hear its voice.

He Is The Potter, We Are The Clay
By Benjamin Raven Pressley
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.” Psalms 19:1-4
Making pottery is a long process but is not laborious for one who has eyes to see and takes time to ponder and listen to the words the Creator will speak during the process. So much about life and oneself can be learned from pottery. So many people miss the beauty of the forest for the trees as someone once said. You will hear words of wisdom that will speak life to your soul if you will only “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalms 46:10)
There are many scriptures using this metaphor of pottery-making. I can see why. I hope you find peace and great hope in whatever you may experience in life and that this book will help you to see life as God sees it.                        PAPERBACK $10.95

By Benjamin Raven Pressley
There have been times in my life as a follower of Jesus Christ and a teacher of the Holy Bible that have been more significant than others. The true revelation of the meaning of grace is one of those times. That moment in study that it ‘clicked’ and suddenly ‘I Got It’ and understood what grace really meant. Mainly it was during my study of Romans 6-8 and I still believe to this day if followers of Christ would comprehend those three chapters it will change your spiritual walk forever. Grace is such a misunderstood topic and is taught and preached wrong most of the time. Some preachers seem to be afraid to teach it in fear of it will give their parishioners an excuse to sin. Others just throw the word around to solicit ‘Amens’ from the congregation and do not truly know what it means themselves. I have found if a person is truly born again and truly seeking the Holy Spirit to help them understand the scriptures a true understanding of grace will not only set them free from bondage of thinking they have got to earn their salvation and the favor of God and will so change them that they will find themselves wanting to draw closer to God. Understanding grace they will also find themselves doing good works, not because they feel they have to earn God’s favor but will do so because they just can’t help but to do good works because they truly want to.

How To Avoid A Lifetime Of Pain
By Benjamin Raven & Liz Pressley

This book is written by two people who are no strangers to pain. When you go through pain and tribulation in your life you can let it destroy you and make you miserable or you can learn from it and rise above it. This book is a labor of love. It is about things we have learned the hard way. Like it or not our life is the sum of the choices we have made in life. It is our desire and hopes that someone will learn from the mistakes we have made and not have to make the same mistakes themselves. We have also consulted with others whose lives have been riddled with pain and they have shared what they wish they would have done differently and what they have learned from their choices in life. A great book for young and old with advice on life in general, marriage, parenting, finances, dealing with life’s setbacks and more.

Touching God…knowing him intimately, communicating with him, knowing his presence. This is something we must nurture. A very important part of knowing and touching God is prayer. Prayer’s most basic definition is talking to God. Just about all religions pray in some form.

Prayer is the very lifeblood of the spirit but it is sadly the least emphasized or it is taught as just a way to get something from God. As blood is to the body, prayer is to the spiritual man. It carries away impurities, fights spiritual diseases and furnishes oxygen to our spiritual minds. Prayer tears down walls between you and God. It heals our spiritual deafness so we can believe and hear the voice of God.
This author pleads for you to put aside religion and tradition and whatever excuses you have for not believing and consider these words and PRAY. This is how we touch God and connect to Him.

True Spirituality. Just saying it brings to mind a myriad of responses and reactions, some very emotionally charged and most polar opposites of each other. It is said if you want to start an argument then mention religion or politics. I have to agree. However, I propose to you that true spirituality has nothing to do with religion. I think a big part of the problem is the messed up definition most of us have of what it means. True spirituality has nothing to do with religion or any particular set of beliefs. It is an all-encompassing view of life and not denying that things are more connected than most want to accept. True spirituality carries over into every aspect of your life. It’s not something you have to stir up, pay up or wind up. It becomes as real as the air you breathe, invisible in many ways but so real and vital to you as an individual. True spirituality is something that comes alongside everything you do, every thought you think and everything you see. It becomes a filter through which you view all things on a level that just makes sense.

Interview with Fernan Vargas of The Raven Tribe on my book TRUE SPIRITUALITY

This book is about things I have learned the hard way.  And not just me because as I taught this I surveyed many people and asked them what they wished someone would have told them when they became a Christian. My heart really went out to them because many of the things they wrote to me were cries of pain, people really trying to live for God but struggling.
My hope is when you read these words that you too will gain new insights and understanding in how to really pray, how to really study God’s Word, understand adversity and more. I don’t claim to know it all. The words I present I present humbly, but I also present them with the power and authority of a Bible believing child of God. The truth will set you free (John 8:32). It is my desire with this book that God will use these words to set you free to be all that you were meant to be in Christ.
This book is great for the seeker of truth and the new Christian as well as for someone who has been a Christian for a while. Churches will want to consider stocking this book to be given out to the new believer and for teaching discipleship classes.

So many are so confused about what a Christian is and what it means to truly walk with God.  It starts by having a relationship with God Himself. It isn’t about religion, that’s a man made thing; It is about relationship. It is knowing who you are in Christ. It is knowing and believing what the Bible says. When you realize who you are in Christ and what He has accomplished on your behalf then it will become natural for you to live for God. Not struggling. Not trying to pay a debt you think you owe. You will be transformed. You will be free.
So many religions have made it so difficult and many sincere people are lost in a labyrinth of confusing doctrines. Don’t be lost in the labyrinth any longer.
This book is about being free. It is the way out of the labyrinth of confusion and bondage. This book contains a series of teachings that I have given through the years. If it is truly God’s Word it will be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path not confuse us more and cast shadows over the path we are walking. Darkness is not a force in and of itself. Darkness is the absence of light. May God use this book to shed light upon your path.

Relationships. Why are they so difficult sometimes? Six of the Ten Commandments were about our relationship to other people (Exodus 20:1-17). Jesus even summed up the whole of how we should live when He said, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. This book attempts to help us human beings through the various relationships we run into in life with biblical and practical advice.

From early on in my life it has seemed that I have looked at things deeper than many would. I see things differently. I see deeper meanings even for things that seemingly may not merit deeper scrutiny. I have been accused many times of over-thinking things. I have come to peace with this long ago. I realize that what I see and feel are reflections, reflections that if pondered and meditated upon are able to bring us greater understanding, peace and wisdom. Most of these reflections take place when I am writing, some when I dream, some when I meditate, some when I pray and some when I am sitting in the midst of a congregation of people on the street or gathered together in one place. It is time I shared these reflections. I hope you will read and ponder these reflections and treasure them as I have.

“Raven this is a masterpiece! The section about “A dream within a dream” took my breath away! You are like me, a hopeless romantic! “Embracing is like dancing among the stars.” “Two hearts beating as one!” Powerful descriptions of love and intimacy. I liked your thoughts about the interconnectedness of all people, and the universe. Your reflections on good & evil were excellent. Reading this was like eating a delicious meal, finding a rich treasure, & having a deep visceral experience. Personally I’m overwhelmed by It! This is the type of book it would take me a year to fully digest. Great work of artistic expression!!!” .—Dani’el Garvin, Miq’maq elder
