GOD

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

Who is God? Why should God be such a controversial subject? Why are even those who say they believe so divided?

God is the eternal Creator. He is Spirit and therefore he is unlimited in his power and expression. He is the ‘Great Balance’. Picture if you will a great ether all about us and in every living thing. The ether is a vast invisible ocean that fills us all with life and connects us to the Creator. Within it, there are often storms and it is always filled with the ripples caused by each created being’s choices good and evil, and even those things that are basically neither good nor evil. The most peaceful and enlightened among us still send forth a steady ripple, an energy that stabilizes the instability in the ether. We are all connected. All we do affects every other thing. Our actions cause the greatest ripples of all but have no doubt our very thoughts also affect all living things and all creation. For all actions are preceded by thoughts. Potential actions present themselves every day to the courtroom of our minds to be tried by us, then we make our choices. It all begins with a thought. Some would say there are some things that affect our world more than others and it may seem so but the reality is every thought, every action, every choice has no less effect than another. How can it? We are all created and began as a thought in the Creator’s great mind. You may very well ask, “What is this ether you speak of?” It is truth. From it every living thing proceeds. And everything is a living thing. Truth is from the Creator and the Creator is truth.

Every howl of a wolf in the distance, all we see, hear, touch, smell and taste is part of the ether. When there is a ripple in the ether it can change everything when it happens. It can increase in strength or fade like the ripples in a pond but it does affect us all. In the midst of the darkness the light does rise. That which cannot be is so. The ripple can be a person or any other created thing, it can even be a thought or a word spoken or unspoken.

How can I teach you how to recognize this Creator? Shall I tell you how to recognize the breath that you breathe? Shall I teach you how to recognize your own heart’s beat? He is the essence of all created things. If you look with spirit eyes you will see the Creator in all things. From the howl of the wolf to the child’s whisper he speaks “I am that I am.”

He is intimately involved in all areas of our lives. His ether is all around us. I have heard it asked if God is so mighty why doesn’t he just take care of all things himself? Why does he involve us at all? It is because his true power and harmony are displayed when even the creation shows forth his power in the midst of adversity and overcomes. It shows forth how powerful he really is. It is why he chooses those that the people of the Earth may overlook. He chooses the small to defeat the enemies of this world, he chooses the lambs to slay the lions. We are all connected to the Creator more intimately than I think we can even comprehend.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

All that we do or say or even think affects the still in the ether. Ether is truth. Truth is life. The ether is the life that runs through all things and though it runs through us it also is us. All things are one. We are all part of the great mind. The Great Spirit is in us all. He only can make the claim to be perfect truth. As we abide in him we are part of that grand design. If we depart from the light then in light’s absence the darkness becomes our guide. And darkness is a blind guide that only leads to more darkness until it overtakes you.

Listen to the voice of the Creator. He speaks in every breath of every living thing. He has breathed upon us a world cleansing, but this cleansing is a planting not an uprooting. What has the Creator planted in you? Have you taken time to meditate and hear the voice he casts upon the wind? Have you heard his roar in the waterfall and the water that flows? Though we are many yet we are one. There are those of us who have scales, some skin, some fur, some feathered but we all have the same blood that flows, pumped by the very heart of the Creator. There are warriors and there are poets among us. But I show you a mystery for within every poet is a warrior and in every warrior is a poet. Every warrior does not carry a weapon of steel in his hand or bend a bow. Some carry weapons in the words they speak and write. Can a word be mightier than a sword? I say yea it is so! For every sword raised to defend the innocent, the bearer must first hear a word within. Our thoughts become our deeds. It is the poet that empowers the heart of the warrior. It is the warrior who empowers the heart of the poet. Say not that it is the poet who is weak and the warrior that is strong. Yea, I say unto you they are one and the same. One wields a sword and another a pen but they are one in the heart of the Creator and one in the ether. Ponder these words. Let them be fire shut up in your bones but also let them be a pillow your head rests upon in the darkness and be at peace. Now come. Let us feast together. There is plenty at the table of the Creator. Come one and all. Bring what you have to the table. Call not what you bring small or large, call it not nothing or something just come and be filled.

Call him God, Creator, Great Spirit….whatever you will, but know he has appeared in various forms and continues to do so. There are times he is so personal that we can bask in his presence and sit at his feet but you must also learn to recognize his presence all about you, in the ether that surrounds and inhabits us all. Learn to practice his presence and hear his breath on the wind and his voice in the sound of the brook or the leaves that crackle across the ground beneath your feet.  All attempts to describe him or attach a name to him will always fall short of who he is. He is neither male nor female, two-legged or four-legged, human or any other creature and yet he is all of these things and more.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

His Spirit shall always surround you. He will be the fortress you run into always. It is he who will teach our fingers to war. His Spirit is in all things even the angels that surround you like invisible walls. Though you see yourself as lambs you are lambs with the face of a lion and no enemy can withstand you. Though you face impossible odds you will not fail.

As we do all we do as unto the Creator, an audience of one, so he rains down his favor upon us whether we are one or many.

Be aware always and do not draw back in surprise at the breeze that suddenly travels through the great hall of your mind and soul or the whisper of the wind in the trees wondering what it is but know it is only his presence for it is not possible for him to be present and not cause some effect and he is present always and in every place.

You have no need of a king or a queen for each of you are kings and queens within. Each of you is endued with power and potential to be lords over your own destiny. Sure there will be leaders, prophets and teachers who will arise among you, allow them to teach you and to point the way to your own inner greatness. Follow not a leader who demands your allegiance to them for there is only one king over all and he is called by many names but he is one and the same, the one and only Creator of our souls and all that is, was or ever will be. He has gone by many names and still goes by many names. Do not get hung up on a name. Names come and they go. Names inspire in one realm and another name inspires in another realm. Do not let a name ever be what you worship, to do so you have placed yourself in a cage of limitations that the Creator never intended you to inhabit. To some, the Creator rides into a camp wildly laughing from his belly for all to hear, to another he breathes the fire of the Far Cry, so it is that you must be free to see the Great Spirit in the form he appears to you. He may appear to you to be a monster at first or a seemingly powerless little girl, but he speaks. Don’t let appearances fool you. There are teachers all around you if you but open your eyes. They may be gentle and they may be fierce. They may seem like they want to kill you sometimes but in reality, they are the smith that heats and pounds the steel to draw out the sword only he sees within you. A true teacher is not here to fight our battles, but to whisper from our heart, reminding us it is us, it is every one of us who holds the power over the worlds we create and the things we give our power away to. Deny it if you will, you can try but the Creator’s love is such that he will not let up because he believes so much in you that he will just keep sending a teacher in another form until you recognize and receive him. When the student is ready the teacher will be recognized, then greatness begins! Try to convince yourself that they can’t be real. But they show up anyway, sometimes at the strangest of places and times. They will shout through demons if they have to but if you are truly discerning, truly listening for the Creator’s voice you will not be shaken by what seems to be a threat but you will hear the Spirit’s voice daring you to be and do more than you ever thought possible, challenging you to fight. That monster you thought would surely kill you? Listen closer for he sings ‘You will not die’. Learn to laugh at the lies. Let the Spirit teach you what is real and what you will die to defend. Know that every chain that seems to bind you, he holds the key to unleash you. It is he who teaches our fingers to war and helps us see that we have all the weapons we need to fight.

I see him as his dark and decrepit form bends over the Earth. His face is partially covered by the hood of his tattered and filthy robes he wears. His face can only partially be seen and it is unkempt, unshaven, with the stubble of a thousand lifetimes. He leans upon a staff that seems to be all that supports him. His back is bowed and weak. His eyes look downward, like one whose head is hung in shame.

   As he stumbles throughout this wasteland that once was a beautiful garden created by God’s own hand, he wonders how did it all happen…

   As he walks some see him and others do not. Those who see him are smitten with the truth that they too are barren, desolate and weak and awaken before it is too late. His very presence warns that the day is coming that the creator of all things will make all things new. Those who see him and look upon him, those are they who see his robe parted only so slight as he removes a book dusty and old and holds it out to them.

   Take the book while it is offered…Look and behold as all who take the book in their hand. First, you feel its pain, pain as one whose heart is broken, pain that brings you to your knees. Then, the pain begins to pass and love and light flood your soul. Warmth like the warm embrace of a blanket wrapped about you by an open fire on a cold winter’s day. Warmth like a warm and soothing drink seems to bathe you inside from head to toe.

   Look and behold as the book is released to your hands and its dust seems to fall away and you open it and read words the color of blood and you weep again as you read of one who paid with his life so those who lived in a wasteland called Earth could know hope, peace and forgiveness, life where there once was death.

   As you read the pages of the book and feel its life come into your soul, you look as you feel a hand upon your shoulder. You smile and look into the one’s face who has placed his hand upon your shoulder and behold eyes that penetrate to the very soul and somehow you know it is he who wrote the words in his own blood. Somehow you also know it is he who wore the tattered robes, though now he stands upon a shepherd’s staff and his robes are that of shepherds of long ago. His face is now one of eternal youth and his countenance glows with an everlasting light. And you realize his robes were tattered, for he, like a kind shepherd, has left his flock in the care of his father to search for those sheep that are lost, his countenance and robes reflect the price he paid and how long he has searched. But when he finds those sheep that are lost, he too is transformed, for that which was lost is found.

   Somehow you know, you are that lost one that he has found and as you hold the book close in your embrace you behold and realize it is he whom you hold and he holds you and all is well.

The Creator’s voice is a constant reference point for creation of how things are supposed to be and what will ultimately benefit all that he has created and keep it living harmoniously and balanced and ultimately satisfying all our needs without taking away from anything else’s needs in creation.
